Russian Drone Strike Hits Passenger Train Station in Chernihiv Region

by Belinda

Russian forces targeted a passenger train in the town of Semenivka, Chernihiv region, on April 14 using strike drones—just 30 minutes before the train was scheduled to depart, regional officials reported.

According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the attack occurred before passengers had boarded, preventing any injuries or deaths. “One carriage was damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Chaus wrote in a post on Telegram, as cited by Ukrinform.

The incident underscores the continued targeting of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine by Russian forces.

Earlier that same morning, a First-Person View (FPV) drone struck a commercial facility in Novhorod-Siverskyi, damaging an industrial workshop, Chaus added.

The region has experienced a series of drone strikes in recent days. On April 13, Russian forces also launched attacks on a hospital in Semenivka, according to earlier reports from Ukrinform.
