TEKEVER Successfully Demonstrates UAS Technology with USSOCOM

by Belinda

TEKEVER, a Portuguese drone company, has completed a successful operational exercise with the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Camp Roberts, California, showcasing its advanced Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) designed to enhance special operations missions.

The demonstration focused on TEKEVER’s state-of-the-art UAS platforms, which combine reliable hardware and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. This integration improves situational awareness, ensures rapid responsiveness, and strengthens resilience in electronically contested environments.

A highlight of the exercise was the TEKEVER AR3 UAS, featuring Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) capabilities, allowing it to operate without additional launch or recovery equipment. This makes the AR3 particularly effective for discreet operations in remote and challenging environments.

With its low acoustic and visual signature, the AR3 is ideal for covert surveillance and reconnaissance. The platform carries an interchangeable multi-sensor payload, including electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) cameras, radar, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) capabilities, providing real-time intelligence.

This flexibility enables ground forces to receive actionable intelligence in complex and high-risk scenarios. Secure communications and continuous intelligence gathering are essential in such environments, and TEKEVER’s technology is designed to meet these critical demands.

Paulo Ferro, TEKEVER’s Strategic Development Director, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence. He underscored how TEKEVER’s AI-powered UAS solutions provide special operations forces with reliable intelligence and secure communications, even in contested environments.
