A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to foster greater cooperation between Dubai’s aviation authorities and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD). The agreement aims to enhance services by sharing expertise and ensuring regulatory compliance in the use of drones.
The MoU establishes a framework for IACAD’s drone operations, improving coordination between the two organizations. It outlines key mechanisms for joint initiatives, ensuring adherence to aviation safety standards and seamless execution of tasks.

By working together, we can achieve superior operational effectiveness and ensure security in our evolving sector.”
Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of IACAD, emphasized that the pact represents a strategic move toward utilizing emerging technologies to refine service delivery while adhering to Dubai’s laws and regulations. He highlighted IACAD’s proactive approach in adapting workflows to meet residents’ expectations and align with the leadership’s vision for integrated government services.
