Pakistan Shoots Down Indian Drone Amid Rising Tensions Along Line of Control

by Belinda

Pakistan’s military announced it shot down an “Indian drone” that was attempting to violate its airspace along the Line of Control, according to the country’s state-run television.

This incident comes after a warning from Pakistan’s defense minister, who stated that they believe an Indian attack could be “imminent.” He also warned that Pakistan would consider using its nuclear arsenal in response to “a direct threat to our existence.”

In response, the Indian Army accused Pakistan of unprovoked small arms fire along the Line of Control overnight on April 29. The Indian Army stated that it gave a “measured response,” as reported by the Indo-Asian News Service.

Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir.
