Russian forces have launched a devastating drone strike on Pavlohrad in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, killing two people and injuring at least eight others.
The attack, reported by Serhii Lysak, the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, occurred earlier today. Initial reports indicated that a 76-year-old woman was killed, and eight people were injured, one of them seriously. However, Lysak later updated the toll, confirming that two people had died as a result of the attack.
Among the injured, six have been hospitalized, including a woman in serious condition. Two others received medical treatment on-site, including a 15-year-old girl.
The strikes also caused fires in several locations, including a residential apartment building. In addition to Pavlohrad, Russian forces targeted the Synelnykove and Samarskyi districts, hitting industrial sites and sparking more fires. The Nikopol district was also struck, with local communities of Nikopol and Marhanets taking hits from FPV drones and Grad MLRS. One local enterprise was damaged, but no injuries were reported in those areas.
Earlier reports indicated that guided aerial bombs, kamikaze drones, and artillery shelling had hit Synelnykove and Nikopol districts, resulting in two civilian injuries.
