Ukraine’s air force reported on Tuesday that Russia launched a total of 54 drones during an overnight attack targeting various parts of the country.
Ukrainian defense systems responded swiftly, shooting down 38 of the drones. According to the air force, the remaining 16 drones did not reach their targets. Officials believe these drones were likely thrown off course or disabled by electronic warfare systems.
No additional details were provided about the intended targets or damage caused by any drones that did get through. The air force praised its air defense and electronic warfare teams for their quick response.
This marks yet another night of drone attacks in Russia’s ongoing campaign against Ukraine’s infrastructure and urban areas.
