The Alligator-9 naval drone is a flexible platform that can carry various weapons, depending on the mission at hand, according to Military.
One of its key features is the ability to carry the Tryzub 90 laser system. The drone can also serve as a launch platform for smaller drones, such as the Alligator 5 ToD. These smaller drones can function as kamikaze drones or torpedoes.
The Alligator-9 drone can carry between 6 and 10 kamikaze torpedoes. This makes it effective in targeting smaller enemy ships. Footage of the new drone has been shared in an official video by the Unmanned Systems Forces.
In addition to its offensive capabilities, the drone can be equipped for electronic warfare. In this configuration, it can carry 3 to 5 Alligator 5 EW drones. This setup helps the drone break through enemy defenses using electronic warfare (EW) tools. The drone can also be used for mine clearance and navigation support.
Another variant of the Alligator-9 includes the Tryzub laser system. This version is capable of destroying a range of threats, including strike drones, aerial bombs, cruise and ballistic missiles, from distances up to 3,000 meters. It can also target helicopters, airplanes, and reconnaissance drones from up to 5,000 meters.
The Tryzub laser system can further be used to blind enemy drones, cruise missiles, helicopters, and airplanes from a distance of up to 10,000 meters.
