DZYNE Technologies Unveils Dronebuster 4-EU to Boost Europe’s Drone Defenses

by Belinda

DZYNE Technologies, a leader in autonomous defense systems, has announced the launch of the Dronebuster 4-EU. This upgraded handheld counter-drone device is designed to operate within European short-range device (SRD) frequency bands, meeting the rising demand for flexible and compliant drone defense solutions in Europe.

The Dronebuster 4-EU allows users to jam unwanted drones across a wide range of EU-specific frequencies. It also includes an optional Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) attack mode, which can disrupt drones guided by GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, or BeiDou satellite systems. The system offers fixed site and wearable drone detection and visualization options, giving users greater flexibility in different environments.

“The versatility of Dronebuster 4-EU empowers security personnel across sectors to effectively counteract unauthorised drones,” said George Schwartz, Executive Vice President of Products at DZYNE Technologies. “We are committed to innovation to meet the changing needs of our global customers.”

DZYNE’s reputation has grown further after it secured a multi-million-dollar contract for Dronebuster, awarded by an undisclosed allied country. This contract highlights the global importance and proven value of the Dronebuster system.

“The rise of drones has created new security challenges worldwide,” said Matthew McCue, CEO of DZYNE Technologies. “The Dronebuster 4-EU offers security teams a flexible, region-specific tool to protect people and infrastructure.”

In response to growing demand, DZYNE has expanded its operations. The company has increased production and hired more staff across its engineering, production, and business development teams at its Portland, Oregon facility. This expansion will help deliver the Dronebuster 4-EU more quickly to customers around the world.

More than 2,200 Dronebuster units have been sold worldwide, including over 1,000 used by the U.S. Armed Forces. The Dronebuster has been officially recognized as a Program of Record by the U.S. Department of Defense. DZYNE’s broader Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) lineup—including Sawtooth, ASP, and the new Dronebuster-FS—is now active in over 50 countries.

The success of these systems inspired the development of the Dronebuster 4-EU. The new model offers better wearability, flexible deployment options, and integrated detection features designed for European civil, military, and infrastructure needs. Key uses include protecting critical infrastructure, securing stadiums and public events, defending sensitive sites, improving airport safety, boosting maritime security, and enhancing border surveillance.

Available in fixed site, mobile, and handheld versions, the Dronebuster 4-EU can be used alone or as part of a larger, layered defense system. Equipped with a wearable Detect, Track, Identify, and Mitigate (DTIM) solution, a single operator can detect drones up to 7 kilometers away and neutralize threats at distances of 1.5 kilometers or more.
