Israeli drone attacks on southern Lebanon have killed at least seven people, including a Hezbollah military commander, local media reported Sunday.
According to Lebanon24 news portal, Hussein Ali Nasser, a senior Hezbollah commander, was killed during one of the strikes. Most of the attacks targeted Hezbollah positions near the city of Nabatieh and the mountainous Iqlim al-Tuffah region.
In addition to the fatalities, several people were wounded, including a Lebanese soldier.
The strikes come amid ongoing cross-border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Morcos stated on April 17 that Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement of November 27, 2024, a total of 2,740 times. He said at least 190 people have been killed in those incidents, but did not clarify how many were civilians.
