Sphere Unifies Operations Under Single Brand to Boost Drone Tech Growth

by Belinda

Australian drone technology company Sphere has announced the consolidation of its operations under a single, refreshed brand identity. The move brings together Sphere Group, its remote operations platform Curo, and its autonomous water sampling solution Nero under the streamlined Sphere brand.

The company says the rebrand simplifies customer and partner engagement across its full suite of drone and data technologies, while positioning it for greater scalability in sectors including mining, energy, environment, infrastructure, and government.

“Consolidating under one brand gives us focus,” said Sphere CEO Paris Cockinos. “What started as a small drone supplier has become a full-stack technology business. This rebrand cuts out complexity, aligns our team, and strengthens our position in the market. We’re now building momentum behind a single, scalable identity.”

According to the company, the rebrand reflects how customers already use Sphere’s integrated solutions across hardware, software, and field operations. Internally, the shift improves alignment across teams and processes. Externally, it creates a more unified experience from onboarding through support.

“This new identity is more than a fresh look—it’s a clearer message about who we are and the value we bring,” said Will Walsh, Marketing Director at Sphere. “Our new brand platform, Data & Drones, helps explain how we deliver everything from enterprise-grade hardware to autonomous workflows. We’re focused on helping customers harness the full potential of drones and the data they capture.”

As part of its ongoing evolution, Sphere has also brought manufacturing of its HubX and HubT drone systems in-house through a partnership with Sydney-based manufacturer Carasel. The local production model allows greater control over product quality and delivery timelines, while supporting Australian industry and jobs.

In addition, Sphere’s early access to DJI’s latest Dock 3 technology has positioned it as a leader in autonomous drone operations. With integrated teams spanning hardware, software, and field execution, the company is well-placed to support wider adoption of BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) and remote drone workflows.

Despite the changes, Sphere assured customers that existing products, services, and support will remain uninterrupted. All contacts and systems will continue operating under the Sphere name.
